Whispering Star

The Whispering Star is a massive meteor made of Ederstone that was one of eighteen such enormous meteors sent down by The Chimera during the Divine Scouring of Stildane over two thousand years ago. 
For centuries, the Whispering Star was, like the other seventeen Ederstone super-deposits, the center of a unique chaos wasteland known as the Azkrubak wastes. In the 460s ME, the great prophet of Kivish religion known as Verkohn the Honest, famously centered their religious following around the Whispering Star. According to legend, Verkohn seemed able to manipulate the Star's mutations through their own self-mastery and discipline, demonstrating the spiritual power of their teachings. 
The Kivish Horde made their holiest weapons from the Whispering Star and used the Star as a center of worship. Heirs to the Truthful Path were decided at the Star. Eventually, though, the Truthful Path and Horde collapsed. The new faiths, the Reverent Path and the Liberated Path, had their own designs for the Star. The Reverent Path wanted to contain and imprison the star and its radition, while the Liberated Path wanted to break it apart and "free it" to wander the earth. The Reverent Path won and built a massive containment center around it. This evolved into their holy city of Rumakel, which holds the majority of the star to this day.
The Star as it is now is much-diminished from the many groups that have carved off large chunks for their own purposes - but the remaining Star still does sit whispering away in Rumakel.
