Old Skybane

The vast and alien unknown of sea and space inspire terror in some and fascination in others. Those truly consumed by those thoughts and impulses find themselves drawing the gaze of Old Skybane, the Emissary of the Vast Unknown. It is like an ethereal storm, emerging with a hurricane from the space between life and death. It swims through sky and sea alike, obscured by great ghostly clouds and mists. Old Skybane is known as the only Elder Leviathan to make an appearance on land: sometimes, it appears above settlements surrounded by its otherworldly storm, descending from the nightsky as an anomaly and tearing into the earth with its ethereal tentacles. Just as suddenly, it may vanish. Old Skybane strikes almost randomly, executed both its own alien agenda and the will of the Masked One Automata, who it is sworn to as a thrall.
Those who seek to summon death, summon entities from beyond space, or summon the Masked One may instead attract Old Skybane's attention. All those who attract Skybane are summoned into a dreaming audience with the great beast. Contacted dreamers find themselves in old floating ruins, in the eye of an ghostly and terrible storm. Skybane slithers through the ruins as idols of the Maked One look down sternly. Do you kneel, pray, revel in faith and succumb to the mysterious vastness of a true god? 
Warlocks of Old Skybane can have more in common with clerics or paladins than traditional warlocks - though the pact does mean different things for every warlock. 
Old Skybane rules over the waters of Larazel and Garadel, but it can reach into the dreams of mortals anywhere in the world.
