Observer

The Observer, also known as The Consort in the Empire of Shirpatra, is an elusive immortal being that avoids direct interventions in history. As the name suggests, the Observer has largely kept to watching and observing - only interacting with the world when directly prompted.   The Observer is a shapeshifter with inherent knowledge of many things, who often vanishes and easily walks between planes. It took the focused effort of a demigod, Haru, to force the Observer into direct conversation.    The Observer has a complicated relationship with other immortals. Haru befriended and eventually entered a romantic entanglement with the Observer - as did Haru's other partner, Aysha. The three immortals produced magicall empowered offspring, known as the Saraja Family. Suwota, meanwhile, sees the Observer as a force of evil and works to kill the Observer and their offspring. Aside from Suwota, Haru, and Aysha, most immortals just ignore the Observer as an irrelevant entity.    It is true that the Observer is not a force of benevolence: they are the herald of the end of the world, whose job is to best tweak the apocalypse to match the conditions of the world. It is not their job to accelerate or assist the apocalypse before its designated start. Once the apocalypse actually starts, their role is to then help coordinate the end of the world and aid in its internal cohesion.    However, the Observer has fallen in love with the world. While it does its planning job dutifully (having already locked in the bulk of the work), it has no intention of actually helping the apocalypse coordinate once it begins. The Observer has a natural dislike of the Architects and divinity in general, but has learned to stomach that reaction given its extended relationships with two lesser divinities.
