Mazaru Mesaba

Mazaru Mesaba was raised in a once-wealthy family, in a household of business-obsessed power-chasers. He learned to be a Windweaver while also learning the business world from his family. He used these skills to get into supply, logistics, and management with the Windweaver Imperial Corportation (WIC) - a good job with a solid career path. He and his girlfriend, Taina, decided to play it safe and save their money to have a big family - not chase corporate glory, wealth, or status. They got married and had a reasonably large family, which they intended to raise into the middle class with them. Mazaru wasn't quite full middle class, but they had the resources for education and the blood of windweavers to get solid jobs with the WIC.
Then, he got Gem Plague. Kilusha was expensive, only moreso after the war started. One of his kids ran off to be adopted by Princess Maina Eramzir; another just struggled to take off. Plague, war - things just keep get worse. 
With the rest of the family, planning to evacuate to Suwirsha.
