Eora Sarana

Daughter of the Priestess of the Sarana Tribe, Eora is a charismatic beacon of joy (if a little unused to being outranked by someone). Eora is a close friend and romantic partner to Potha Sarana and is aware of her nature as Halcyon incarnate. Currently, she is grappling with the terror of knowing the world is ending. As part of her polyamorous relationship with Potha, Eora has formed her own budding romantic relationship with Akata. Former member of Rabbit House at the Minosa Forest School for Meako.
Eora is, beyond her connections to Potha, a Meako of some skill - a defender of Loanua who rides her Moa bird into battle for the Indigenous people of the island. She is an ardent believer in Blue Weniko: a syncretic and open tradition that seeks to incorporate elements of the religion of Saraka. Her politics and faith are being challenged by both the intense colonial violence of the island and her relationship with Red Weniko believer Akata. More than ever, a path of coexistence seems impossible so long as colonizers control Loanuan lands - still Eora seeks to chart a course in which Loanua can reincorporate those Loanuan people who have become members of the colonizing society, not by force but through accomodation and exchange. Eora's hope for a flexible and cooperative future has made her a perfect leader for the Tailothan popular revolt that Potha helped organize. 
While Eora knows that the world as a whole is burning, she will not leave her home island until she knows that her people are safe.
