Purpose / Function

The SRg's purpose is to protect Hafiz from historically Orc controlled lands to the North and West. To control trade through the Silver River.

Denizens

Elves 50-100 within the walls Aprox 4000 in the surrounding forests Aprox 2000 Noids in the different quarters withing and without the walls.

Inside Silver River Garrison

During the Flodur Dynasty, the lines between (Human)Noids and Non (Human)Noid have blurred and the Silver River Garrison is a physical representation of this. Starting in the 690s GE, the following quarters have been pulsing inside the walls and without.   The Old Quarter [Core]

The Old Quarter is the central core of the outpost, composed of a heavily fortified castle and it’s surrounding fortifications. Construction is entirely of stone. This should be the military administrative headquarters where Reef Fenra and Crone Air Fenra 'hold court'. Population is purely House Fenra personnel and Reefer Rangers and Reefer Strategists.     Trade Quarter / Temple Row [SE]

Originally a purely mercantile district, over time a number of temples to gods other than the seven emerged here. A discreet struggle over whether Coin or Faith rules in this space persists, though both factions agree that the seven’s influence is unwelcome. Main access to Silver River Garrison Undercity is in this quarter. In many ways, the SRG's actual power in Hafiz City is located here where merchant guilds vie for control of the port just south of the SRG walls.   Residential/Militia Quarter(s) [NW]

A combination of houses and barracks for the SRG Noid Militia   Quarter of The Damned/Foreign Quarter [SW and outside the walls settlement]

Half abandoned and in questionable repair this area gained a largely undeserved poor reputation owing to it’s Non (Human)Noid community. The Quarter is Dominated by the ‘Hall of the Far Wanderers’ a ‘clanhall’ that houses the Dragonborn who dwell in the area and they can be raucous!

Architecture

The SRG walls are high and well built, however the fort is suffering due to a lack of recent upkeep. .

History

When gifted to Reef Fenra a steady decline of the fort led to a Epp Ilihp Nolat Neaj renovation and re fortification, which was completed in 680 XE and was in observance of the King of the Silver River myth.  

  Since then the Flodur Dynasty has not upgraded or improved the fort and have also withdrawn all The Faith Militant stationed there and recolocated trhem to key locations within the city proper. Since, the fort is generally disregarded by the Flodur Dynasty, have also turned their focus to other concerns.   However, currently there is a large settlement of Noids around the walls and in the Silver River Garrison Undercity, many of which are beings who have found little or no luck in the main wards of the city.
