I lokë's sér-

Purpose / Function

Built to serve as Avalon's foothold in the Realm of Hafiz, what precisely will come of this has yet to be determined.

Main Floor

The Main Hall

The first part of any castle or manor a visitor (or invader) will see is the Main Hall. Public reception area, Dining area, Audience chamber, First fallback should the walls be breached... The main hall is all these things and more. As such it's appearance can say a great deal about the master of the house. The main hall of I lokë's sér- is presently a fairly spartan example of the common grand style* decorated only by lightly carved wooden panneling on the walls, and a strip of rug running from the main doors, between the two rows of common dining tables that fill the main floor, to the base of the dais supporting the Lord's Seat. Somewhat atypically the dais rests upon a raised platform accessed by a short flight of five steps that support a pair of slightly ornate tables suited to seat six to eight people in close proximity to the high seat, as well as the expected High Seat itself. The one notable extravagence is the use of Mage-lights instead of the expected candles or lamps... No effort has been made to mask the Archer's Galleries that flank the main floor.

*The Grand style is defined primarily by large open rooms, with double height ceilings. Some view opulent décor as a hallmark of the style though it isn't a formal requirement.

The Lord's Seat

Xair's personal seat is something of an oddity, resembling nothing more than an immense wrought iron basket mounted at a 45° angle in an extremely solid frame, and piled high with deep blue cushions. The Seat rests on a three and a half step Dias.

Architecture

Built in the Xin style, which is characterised by an intricate, delicate seeming facade of woodland themed decoration sheathing resiliant Dwarven stonework. This four story manor appears far less threatening than the strength of it's walls deserve
