Lycos Latro

The Harch are a warlike species that honor independence. They are individualistic, exacting and aggressive. They can live for centuries. Every Harch is born as a single member of a massive clutch of eggs. They are all left in the brooding chamber to devour one another until only one remains. That single survivor is then accepted into the family as a new son or daughter. Most Harch do not remember this time. At such a young age, they are only responding on instinct and the natural drive to fight and eat.
Lycos was born on Coruscant. His father (Hesperus) was captain of the guard for the Harch ambassador (Taran) from Secondus Ando. His mother is named Hasselti. Lycos is the oldest of 11 siblings. Their names are Araneus, Argyrodes, Argiope, Josa, Lasiodora, Theridio, Misumena, Corinnidae, Araneae, Salticidae, and Hyptiotes.
At the start of the Clone Wars, life became troubled for Harch on Coruscant since Secondus Ando sided with the Separatists. The embassy had to evacuate the planet quickly. Hesperus pressed his blaster "Dectus" (has a Bantha's Eye Laser Sight attachment) into Lycos' hands and told him to protect his mother and siblings. The family escaped, but Hesperus was lost.
They returned to Secondus Ando where his mother continued to work for the ambassador. In time, Lycos fell in love with one of the ambassador's daughters (Virilome). They had a close bond for growing up together. Her dad found out and drove Lycos away, feeling that he was an unsuitable mate for his daughter. Her older brother (Denio) did his father's dirty work by beating Lycos up and forcing him off planet.
Lycos sets out to make a name for himself and prove himself worthy.
He ended up on Nar Shaddaa, the Smugglers' Moon, where he was hired as a bodyguard to a local business person, an Umbaran named Zaal Vasal. One day, a tough came into the business and tried to shake Zaal down for protection money. In the ensuing ruckus, Lycos gunned down that tough only to later learn that he was sent by Grakkus the Hutt. The crime lord put a bounty on Lycos' head. Zaal fired him but then helped him slip away from the planet.
Lycos becomes employed on a "freighter" delivering goods outside of Hutt Space. Unfortunately, some cargo onboard the ship infects everyone with a strange disease. Lycos gets sick but does not succumb. He is the sole survivor of the crew when the drifting ship is found by a group of pirates called the Forsaken Reavers. He is dragged across to their ship and thrown into a cell with Lily Lo-Lorelei and Mil Sanra'Ara. They nurse him back to health.
Shortly after that, they are rescued by Trenon Brask and offered employment at Boss Brask's Cantina to pay off their obligation.
