Harch

Spider-like humanoids with 8 limbs.
The Harch are a warlike species that honor independence. They are individualistic, exacting and aggressive. They can live for centuries. 
Every Harch is born as a single member of a massive clutch of eggs. They are all left in the brooding chamber to devour one another until only one remains. That single survivor is then accepted into the family as a new son or daughter. Most Harch do not remember this time. At such a young age, they are only responding on instinct and the natural drive to fight and eat.
