Styx is depicted as a somber woman with dark, flowing robes that move like currents. She possesses a "Static Intensity"—she does not need to move to be felt. She exudes the scent of damp earth and deep, stagnant caves.

Her skin has a metallic, obsidian sheen, and her eyes are like deep pools of black water. She is often seen standing waist-deep in her own river, her hair merging with the dark mist of the Underworld.
