Tethys
The Nursing Mother (a.k.a. Silver Veins of Earth)
Tethys is the Titaness of fresh water and the subterranean currents that feed the world. While her husband Oceanus is the great river that encircles the earth, Tethys is the nourishing force within it. She is the divine "Wet-Nurse" of the cosmos, responsible for the distribution of life-giving water to every spring, well, and fountain in existence.

Identifying Characteristics
Tethys is often depicted as a woman of serene, maternal beauty. In ancient mosaics, she is sometimes shown with small wings at her temples, representing her connection to the "flying" mists and clouds that return water to the earth.
Physical quirks
Her hair is often described as being made of living water or fine, silver mist. When she walks, the ground becomes soft and moist, and flowers bloom in her footprints.

Aquifer Manipulation: Control over the "veins of the earth"—the hidden rivers beneath the crust.
Nurturing Touch: She can heal any plant or non-magical creature instantly by washing them in her presence.

Personal history
Tethys is one of the twelve original Titans born to Gaia and Uranus. She wed her brother Oceanus, and together they produced a staggering lineage: the three thousand Potamoi (River Gods) and the three thousand Oceanids (Water Nymphs). Like her husband, Tethys remained neutral during the Titanomachy. Her most significant act of diplomacy was raising the goddess Hera as her foster child during the war. Because of this bond, Hera later sought Tethys’s help to punish Callisto (by forbidding her constellation, the Big Dipper, from ever "bathing" in the cool waters of the ocean).

Mother of All Rivers: She birthed the Nile, the Alpheus, and every major waterway known to man.
The Cosmic Nurse: She is credited with "nursing" the world’s vegetation by ensuring the underground aquifers never run dry.
Guardian of the Young: She provided a safe haven for the younger gods when the universe was in chaos.

The Diminished Tide: Like the other Titans, her raw elemental power was eventually compartmentalized by the Olympians, leaving her as a distant, legendary figure while Poseidon took the glory of the seas.

Her philosophy is Universal Sustenance. She believes that life is a gift that must be constantly "watered." To Tethys, the health of the smallest stream is as important as the stability of the throne of Zeus.

Motivation
Tethys is motivated by Growth and Peace. She wants to see the world lush and vibrant. She acts as the ultimate mediator, believing that if everyone is "well-fed and watered," conflict will naturally cease.
Vices & Personality flaws
She is Indulgent and Passive-Aggressive. Tethys can be "smothering" in her care, and when she is offended, she doesn't strike with thunder; she simply "recedes," causing droughts that can devastate an entire kingdom.
