Pont Gibbet
Most criminals in Granmont end up in prison. Those considered irredeemable are put down quietly. But the most heinous and public of criminals are executed in a brutal and public matter, to serve as a warning to those who would follow in their footsteps and as a comfort to those who wish to believe in true justice. This bridge leading to the Beacon is the point from which this public justice is rendered. Hanging the accused and leaving them in that state is the most common form of execution, but pyres are also employed for heretical crimes on occasion.
