Deliberatior

The Granmont Deliberator is the largest Media publication and that only general-audience newspaper in the city. They publish daily "Crier Sheets", one page collections of headlines and quotes, but the flagship is their weekly Sunday Edition. Everything from downflow of shop closures and road construction to breaking-stories following the latest details of the Baudelaire Conspiracy is packed into this paper read by thousands.

Newsletters

The majority of publications are irregular and specialized. Most guilds have trade journals that are provided to members and institutions as varied as Etade Theatre to Granmont Gunworking Club publish program schedules and recent developments. The publications of Fulcrum Bank, Guild of Speculators, Guild of Bookkeepers, Guild of Athletes, Guild of Tailors and Drapers, and the Granmont Gunworking Club in particular are widely read even beyond their target audience.

Publishing

Most of the publishing industry takes place in Oaktops and Camino; wood is pulped and pressed into sheets which are bought by publishing companies. These companies cut sheets to usable size and accept manuscripts from clients including guilds, companies, and private individuals. These manuscripts are mirrored in a press which is then used to produce reproductions of the original. The Deliberator is a large enough to have the economy-of-scale to handle publishing thelves, whereas most other newsletters and magazines outsource to dedicated companies. This gives the Deliberator a unique paper and ink quality that sets it apart from the rest and places it on a higher pedastl.
