The Grand Hassir of Varuum

His holy self, chosen by the white eye of the radiant sun and the shining sea of the silvery moon. He who chased rabbit’s foot forty days across the great wastes and brought down mighty dracophant with but a single grain of sand. Wiser than the seers of Vorta. Stronger than Hlita of Coromae. His excellency, The Grand Hassir Seresnain Arabata, the fourth of his name.

Vizier to the Grand Hassir, Valon Vandergraff

The Grand Hassir Serasnian Arabata IV of Varuum is the 76th Grand Hassir in the nation's history. He is succeeded by his inheritrix daughter, the fourteen year old Naiya II. Once a brave young ruler who fought valiantly at the head of his cavalry, now Arabata languishes in peacetime, growing ever more discontented with his cloistered status. It is said that when he does attend court functions (always in his royal chambers, and never outside the palace), he wears a golden mask to disguise the ravages of age writ across his face.
It is rumored that the Grand Hassir has lost his mind, poisoned by some malicious force from the great beyond, and that the nation is truly run by Naiya, with the help of the Vizier, Vandergraff; the court necromancer, The Consummata, and Naiya's personal protector and advisor, Magister Clickwild (a construct). But these are, of course, rumors that none would speak within earshot of the palace of the Grand Hassir.

Our lady of the first moon, born under the watchful eye of Sebelasi, her budding excellency, the Inheritrix Naiya Sersnian Arabata, second of her name.

The Grand Hassir's daughter Naiya, though very young (she's currently 13), has a firm grasp on local politics and has the temperament for ruling. When she represents her father in court, always with Magister Clickwild at her side, she always makes rulings that are tough but fair.

Magister Clickwild has a bronzed, metal body with long, spindly limbs. It stands over 7' tall and has a great telescope for a head. It speaks with a raspy, metallic voice that seems to come from nowhere and everywhere simultaneously.
It is rumored that Magister Clickwild was constructed in Sage, by one of the few gnomish Boorka, as a gift for the Grand Hassir, and that it contains the soul of his previous, fallen advisor (who also was a Boorka agent). Others think the "metal beast" is an aberration straight from the fires of Dis.
