Brill Bral

Kenku Ranger, Hunter (Outlander background)

Brill Bral is a kenku ranger first encountered by Krimko's adventurers during the quest for the Amulet of Saitos. He was found chained in the mill house owned by Ilano Mertis, a necromancer turned Boneclaw (after a failed attempt to become a lich). Here, Brill was shackled to the wall of Ilano's study, and was being tortured by the imp (and familiar to Ilano) Merf.
After defeating Merf and freeing Brill, the kenku accompanied the party for a time as a companion, and aided in their defeat of the Boneclaw. Brill's entire flock was killed in the life-draining experiments of the wannabe lich, and now that he has found at least some justice, he intends to travel to Angleport to begin a new life.
Brill has a strong, inner nobility and sense of loyalty that transcends his typically "flighty" species. He has accumulated a good deal of dialogue over his travels, and is beginning to be able to communicate almost normally. For those who do not know, the kenku are cursed with the inability to speak in anything other than mimicry of things they've heard before. However, they can perfectly recreate any voices or even sounds they've heard.
To the point, Brill has not revealed how or where he got his name, but typically kenku names are given to them by companions who want to call them something other than the noises they constantly make. Amongst themselves, the kenku identify each other using sounds that humanoid voices cannot typically replicate.
Brill carries a short bow and short sword, and typically wears a green cloak.
