Harlen
Harlen is a dazeglass parlor proprietor in the Slag. Besides offering patrons dazeglass, he also acts as a gambling bookie. He often uses thugs to collect debts, making him someone with a fearsome reputation.
STORY
Demir Grappo placed his first bet with Harlen when he was eleven years old. Since then, the two have developed an excellent rapport, where Harlen manages Demir's bets and collects an honest percentage.
When Demir goes looking for Lechauri Pergos to learn Magna guild-family secrets, he goes to Harlen's place to have the proprietor call in Lechauri's debts early to gain leverage over him. Harlen threatens to send his thugs after Lechauri if he does not pay up, helping Demir to extort him. In exchange for the information, Demir promises to pay off some of Lechauri's debt to Harlen and give him an extension.
