Ekhi

Ekhi is Thessa Foleer's trained falcon. Thessa's parents had gifted Ekhi to her as a chick when she was apprenticed with Master Kastora ten years ago, making it the last gift she had from them. He is a brown with feathers tipped in red and a speckled white and brown breast.
STORY
Thessa Foleer used to take Ekhi on countryside excursions in Grent every two weeks to help her keep her creativity fresh. Just before the Ossan attack on the Grent Royal Glassworks, Ekhi begins to screech, as if attempting to warn Thessa. He quiets as she comforts him, and she assumes he is simply having a bad night. When the Ossan soldiers break into the building, Ekhi saves Thessa's life by swooping at her attacker's face. The soldier fends him off before shooting him. Thessa believes Ekhi is killed during the attack. However, Demir Grappo finds Ekhi during his visit to the glassworks, bringing him back to the Hyacinth Hotel to recouperate from his wounds. Thessa later reunites with Ekhi when she hears a falcon screeching in the hotel and finds him in the mews. She then takes him to a park near the hotel when she needs a break from working on the phoenix channel.
