There are two different comics that immediately come to mind as inspiration for my world-- one is Bone by Jeff Smith, which is one of my all time favourite comics ever and has always really influenced me as an artist. Another, which is actually not only hugely inspirational for my artistic aspirations, but also literally, directly inspired me to start working on my own fantasy world/story, and that's Roses for Avalon by Purplebirdman (on twitter and patreon). The second chapter of it actually just finished, and it's so, so awesome, just really incredible art and such a cool story with really interesting lore and unique worldbuilding that I'm just totally obsessed with. I can't recommend it enough, but I do have to warn, in case that's not to your tastes, that it does also feature gay furry porn. The gay furry porn is secondary to the actual story but it is there, so.
