Getrea

Getrea is the largest continent on Ghala. It is populated mostly by humans, elves, aarakocra, and lizardfolk. Many nations on Getrea have undergone the Industrial revolution or are in the process of modernizing. Central Getrea is dominated by the Republic of Adreal, the north is split between the Vulpis Union and the Democratic Theocracy Of Esora, while the south is divided between numerous warring lizardfolk and snakefolk tribes and clans.

Geography

Getrea is mostly covered in thick woodlands and rolling plains. The Raumoko Mountains cut seperate the northern and central part of of Getrea. The plains are very arable and easy to farm.
There are several rivers that flow across Getrea, most notably the Adreal River, which flows from the Sedna Ocean to the Tangaroa Ocean.
Southern getrea is dominated by lush jungles.

Fauna & Flora

Getrea is famous for it's large and diverse dinosaur population. On most other continents, dinosaurs are rare, but on Getrea they are fairly common.

Natural Resources

Getrea has the larges reserves of oil, coal, titanium, tungsten and coper. The plentiful resources of the continent has given the nations of Getrea an edge as they often don't need to import strategic resources.

History

For most of history, Getrea was inhabited by beastfolk who would occasionally clash in petty rivalries. Getrea has been spared from the horrors of a Draconic Crusade, and as such it's civilizations have been able to grow and progress very differently from those on Iyass.
When the elves arrived and brought their human slaves with them, the continent forever changed. The elves brought with them a brand of imperialism that was completely alien to the denizens of Getrea. The Vulpines became enamoured with the idea of wide scale imperialism and tried to conquer their neighbors reguraly, while the aarakocra sought to strengthen their defenses against any elven agression.
When humanity gained it's independence, wars became very frequent on Gerea as the elves tried to reclaim their lost property, the vulpine and lizardfolk waged wars of conquest, and the snakefolk waged wars to capture and consume humans.
Unlike Iyass, were most wars aside from Crusades were usually formal affairs with orderly lines of warriors clashing Wars on Getrea tended to be large scale bloodbaths with hundreds of thousands of deaths. After the invention of gunpowder and the industrial revolution, the death and destruction warfare brought was only intensified.
Today, Getrea is in a state of relative peace as most of its nation's armies are on Iyass fighting the Draconic Imperium.
