Snakefolk
Snakefolk are a large serpentine race hailing from Getrea. They are known for their imposing size and cold demeanor, especially towards humanoid races.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Snakefolk have powerful builds with long tails often reaching between 10 to 16ft from tail to snout and averaging about 500 pounds. They have two arms and hands with opposable thumbs. Many snakefolk have a large hood like membrane in the head area of their bodies, giving them an apearance similar to that of a cobra.
Scale colors are usually dark shades of red, green, black or brown though more exotic colors like blue, white and yellow known to exist. Some snakefolk have multicolored spots or strips.
Growth Rate & Stages
Snakefolk hatchlings grow quickly, reaching maturity after 4 years. Most snakefolk live to be around 250 years old.
Ecology and Habitats
Due to their ectothermic nature, snakefolk pefer to live in warm climates. For them, tempratures below 60 degrees are uncomfortable, and anything below 50 is dangerous.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Snakefolk are purely carnivorus in their diet. Due to a lack of proper teeth, they swallow their food prey. If they are hunting, they will have no qualms in eating their prey while it is still alive.
Snakefolk are infamous for viewing humanoid races, particularly Humans, as delicacies. As such, humanoids should remain vigilant when around snakefolk.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Snakefolk can detect the thermal signatures of creatures around them. Even if they loose their sense of vision they can sense heat and use it as a second sight.
Civilization and Culture
Naming Traditions
Most snakefolk names derive from the Draconic language, however they have an odd accent due to their long forked tounges making some sounds be elongated ussualy accompanied by a flicker of said tounges.
