The Wound of the World

The Wound of the World is an immense crater far to the south-east of Chronan, on what is known as the Shattered Continent. It was caused by The Fellstar as it struck the world about 2500 years ago. Few people have ever been able to travel there, and those that have were horrendously mutated.
The crater is said to be the source of chaotic forces invading the world, including mutations, strange beasts and destructive magic. Pieces of meteorite retrieved from the crater have been used in manufacturing items known asChaos Artifacts.
