The Chronan Gazette

The Chronan Gazette, often shortened to just The Gazette, is an independent newspaper published throughout the Eight States of Chronan. It is rivalled by The Daily Orderly, official publication of The Order written by the Journalist Monks of Politia Palladion. Unlike The Daily Orderly, which comes out daily as it's name implies, The Gazette is published on a weekly basis on Palladays.
Whereas its rival acts as a mouthpiece for official news and declarations, The Gazette focuses on investigative journalism and scoops about the upper class. It is looked down upon as "trash paper" in the more intellectual circles, but it is hugely popular among the common folk. A newspaper costs one silver coin, and even the poorest neighborhoods scrap the sum up in collaboration each week to get the latest gossips.
The reporters working for the newspaper, also known as "Gazetteers", often travel around Chronan and beyond in search for new stories and gossips. They each carry a novelty clockwork camera to capture pictures of their subjects. The main office of the publication is in Jubileum.
