Kalope

Kalope is a state comprising the western portion of the Drembari Isles. It consists of many small swampy islands, most of which are uninhabited. Because of this, many pirates and smugglers have made Kalope a base of operations for their activities.
The state gets its name from an ancient temple on one of the central islands. The temple predates the Drembari Islands by a good thousand years or so, and many historians are engaged in active study of its origins.
The main settlement of the community is Bleak Gardens. Brightwater Watch, a renowned mercenary company with major political ambitions, has its headquarter in Ever Lantern.
The Burnpile, in the far southwest portion of the state's control, is an wasteland that still smolders from some unseen volcano activity.
