Belt

Belt is the common language spoken among the peoples who live along the great river Syhychakwa - regardless of which country they officially live in. The language evolved after the publication of Anyma Simin's book The Island and Its Inhabitants as a way for the merchants and traders moving up and down the river to be able to communicate with everyone. It has since spread to become a common language among all the people of the Island, and the official language of Quyata.
