Petó

Galkan: Petó /phɛːthouː/
Petó is the capital and largest city of the kingdom of Nonón in western Vagalkan, as well as the largest settlement of the Galkans in general. Located on the west bank of the central Kíva River, the city is one of the oldest ones in northern Túlmikkía and has long been a major cultural and religious center in the region, as well as an economic one before the founding of Ænadó far to the east, after which it has competed with other cities like Alket and Kavas.
The city is known for its fine copper- and gold sculptures, as well as several lavish festivals held each year in honour of the monarch, deities and ancestors, some of which draw pilgrims from all over Vagalkan and beyond.

Infrastructure

Petó is centered on crossroads formed by the main street connecting the northern and southern main gates on one hand, and another used for processions connecting the palace in the west to the temple of the war god Móhe-Ka. A timber circle once stood at this intersection, used for ritual dances, but has since been moved to a ceremonial plaza in front of the temple. Temples to the sun god Hút and the moon goddess Kahe are located on either side of the palace. Three market squares are found in the city, one before the palace where luxury goods and religious objects are sold, and two more to the north and south selling more mundane goods.
All these structures are enclosed by mud-brick walls, with farmers, hunters and fishermen living outside the walls, and craftsmen, merchants and aristocracy within.
