Bay of Carosh
The Bay of Carosh is a natural harbor on the northwest coast of Abhagan, and is the location of the westernmost city of the present-day Zendylite Empire, Carosh. Bala Carosha, a large river that forms part of the border between the Empire and Targos, empties into the bay at its east side.
Climate
The bay and its surrounding region are characterized by warm, breezy summers, and mild, wet winters.
History
In 289ATC, the people of Ancient Targos built the port city of Carosh on the shores of the bay, naming it accordingly.
In the 2990's ATC, the people of Targos and its domains, still at this time part of the Zenylite Empire, rebelled, and for a time, managed to capture all the territory south of the Bala Carosha river, including the western and southern shores of the Caroshian Bay. The Empire however, loath to allow any threat to its most prestigious naval city, counterattacked ferociously and managed to seize a swathe of land fully surrounding the bay; this territory remains in Imperial hands today.
