Xyg'Akaal Temple

The ruling authority of Odell is the Tombking, Viumu Rhytyn, who rules over the entire Rhyte province from the stronghold of Xyg'Akaal Temple. The temple is a massive structure that dominates the skyline of the city, with its tall towers and intricate carvings. This thick sandstone structure is both an idol to the Sun and Moon, as well as a fortress. The interior of the temple is filled with grand halls, sacred shrines, and rooms that are used for religious ceremonies and administrative meetings. The walls are adorned with intricate frescoes depicting various scenes from the nation's history, and the floors are made of polished sand, turning almost into almost glass. The temple is guarded by a contingent of the Tombking's elite warriors, known as the Tomb Guard. Visitors to the temple must pass through a series of checkpoints and gates before reaching the inner sanctum, where the Tombking holds court. The atmosphere within the temple is solemn and reverent, with priests and acolytes moving quietly through the halls, and the sound of chanting and prayer echoing through the corridors. The Xyg'Akaal Temple is not only the religious center of Odell, but also the political center, as it is where the Tombking holds court and makes decisions that affect the entire Rhyte province.
