Whetstone Keep
The Whetstone Keep is a formidable fortress, rising up from the murky swamps of Echose atop a massive gravel mound. Its thick walls of white and gray stone tower above the surrounding terrain, creating an imposing sight. However, the castle has sunk over time under its own weight, causing it to become askew in some areas. In an effort to maintain the castle's structural integrity, some parts of the walls have been reinforced with additional limestone bricks, while other sections still lean at odd angles.
The castle is still a formidable stronghold. Vines and other vegetation from the swamp below attempt to climb up the walls, but the fortress is well-maintained and heavily guarded. The interior of the castle is spacious and functional, with large stone chambers serving as living quarters, armories, and storage spaces for supplies and provisions. The castle's occupants are well-accustomed to the unique challenges of living in such an environment, and they have learned to make use of the swamp's resources to their advantage.
