Tarkan
A Tarkan is a member of the Tarkantry, an elite force of warriors whose skill in desert magic and combat is unparalleled. Dressed in black armor with golden masks and crimson accents, the Tarkan are a fearsome sight on the battlefield. They wield curved blades affixed to the ends of staffs, their weapon of choice for swift and deadly strikes. But it is their mastery of the desert itself that sets them apart; they can blend seamlessly with the sands, becoming nearly invisible as they move with the wind. The Tarkan also harness their magic to summon sandstorms, create powerful bursts of energy, and execute devastating offensive maneuvers. Each Tarkan proudly wears their hair in a long braid, a symbol of their strength and honor, only cutting it when they are bested in battle—a rare occurrence indeed. These warriors are the backbone of the Oligarch’s military might, serving as personal guards and enforcers of the Salt Fields and beyond.
