Skyveil Shrine
The Skyveil Shrine is a humble yet elegant structure designed to honour Shoreez in towns and villages. Built to be as open to the elements as possible, it consists of a circular colonnade of pale cloudstone pillars, each carved with flowing patterns that resemble the movements of wind. These pillars support an intricate latticework canopy made of lightweight, silvered metal, designed to catch and reflect the light of the sky while allowing breezes to pass freely. The canopy’s edges are adorned with wind chimes and delicate ribbons in hues of white, blue, and silver that flutter and sing with every gust.
At the centre of the shrine is the Skyfont, a shallow, polished basin filled with rainwater gathered during storms. The water reflects the sky above, and the faithful believe that gazing into it allows them to feel Shoreez’s presence. Around the Skyfont, worshipers leave offerings such as feathers, ribbons, and small tokens carved from wood or stone, representing their prayers carried to the heavens.
