Quenith’Zir
The Bone Blight of Retch
the Bone Blight of Retch. necromancer that founded Retch with the Boggan clan. dark elf. Staked through the heart with a branch from Brindlebark. fed to Mitharax. the stake grew into a tree. his spirit was revived as a plant spirit who controlled Mithariax’ powers. defeated by the Wild Men. killed Virgil Beck.
There are things that refuse to die, even when the world demands their end. Quenith’Zir was one such thing. A master of bone and decay, his presence twisted the cycle of life, warping death into a tool rather than a certainty.
He was slain by Ivorus Windslayer but his dark magic refused to let him pass. Ivorus carved a stake from a branch from Brindlebark and impaled the Bone Blight through the heart. when this did not kill the necromancer, they decided to march into the lair of Mithariax, the Mother of Monsoons. Within the Dengar Krand, Quenith’Zir was eaten by the old black dragon. His body riddled with profane magic, he was killed but took the dragon down with him. The stake in his heart began to grow in the dragon’s lair, it became a great tree growing out of Mithariax’s skeleton.
His mortal body was shattered long ago, but his magic lingers, a shadow cast over the Dengar Krand. The Bone Blight is no mere spectre; it is a will, a hunger that clings to the marrow of the dead and calls them to rise again. His spirit thrums beneath the earth, pulsing through the tangled roots and drowned ruins, waiting for foolish hands to disturb what should remain buried.
