3 cycles before the last cathedral , a 6th seed was kept away by the greendreamer. this cathedral title was that of the forest requiring rebirth. this deadly seed was given to a faction of kumis elves much before the thousand year silence. when the lumis fell, so did these elves. the proximity to the seed kept them from turning into contorted shadow creatures. they moved to the mooncrest and tended to the seed. all light was lost as well as lumis power but the graywalker aelves have remained in the woods, tending to a black tree that grows quivk under the dense canopy. they have become wood woads, entsngled in nature where their aelvan minds were lost. the last of the onyx aelves now giard a 4th world tree.
The Lumis Elves.
An ancient race of beings similar in appearance to elves but of a more godly standard.
They were thought untouchable by the lesser common elves and the humans.
Era of time was spent with the luminous ones advancing their intellect and kindness with the nomadic men and elves.
One day a lumis elf, one of the kindest and most generous of his kind stopped into a village and offered aid to the men.
A simple man fell in love with the elf's wife. He snuck in a conversation with her and she was bewildered a man would attempt to woo her, this wasn't common.
The couple stayed a month and the man continued to try and win her heart. It failed. In a fit if anger he confronted the elven man. A one sided argument ensued and as the elf looked away, the man stabbed him in the neck. Bright ones usually live 1000 years and then burst into fireworks upon a natural death. No Lumis elf had ever killed another and this was the first murder of their species.
The Lumis elf slowly rose up with his luminescent skin faded to mute dark grey. The first onyx elf was born. Maintaining all memories but flipping all personality traits. Kindness to cruelty. Generosity to selfishness. Love to hate. Eyes black as night.
The reborn elf slew the man. His wife then entered. He stabbed her as well creating another powerful onyx elf.
The traits of man befoul you
This became a montre of the common elves.
This event lead to a massacre of Lumis Elves by their onyx brethren. Also led to the enslavement of common elf and man for thousands of years.
Once Dhara joined the forces of man and defeated the onyx elf overlords, the 6 hexarchs were named. The hexarchy grew as man dominated the realm.

These 6 were named of equal rights to the throne of man.
Overtime the factions fought and conquered eachother. Each was given a specific dominion
Skytracer became the high king, having say over everything living within Galfin.
Windslayer was banished to the mountains, becoming the mountain king.
Here they learned new magic and sent missionaries out to the world to teach the ways of learned magic.
Tempest seduced a sea goddess and bore 9 children. He broke the woman's heart when he left the sea to settle Pacura and raised their children.
Rhytyn focussed her efforts on ensuring the afterlife for her countrymen. Through prayer and ritual they mastered people burials. Due to this, once the lines settled, the second oldest Rhytyn was dubbed the Tombking, the king who presides over all of those who have already passed. A common pilgrimage is to walk the hot deserts to offer the tombking gifts to ensure the safe passage of their loved ones to the afterlife.
Boggan, who sided with skytracer was given the West. If a provincial issues arose then the high king would be informed but all law that the high king could do is done by the western king
Windslayer also did not betray his alliance with skytracer and was awarded the east.
A young addikus Windslayer formed the ranger group the cardinalhood to protect his woods.
