Eildaer - Aldur Aelfe

The ancestor race to all elves is the Eildear, also known as the Aldur Aelves. Their skin used to glow with divine radiance. They stood tall at around 8 foot tall. Their eyes were a glowing blue while their skin was pure white. The aura around them shone with every color of the light spectrum. They were ancient progenitors to the modern elemental elves. The beings were seen as gods until one was eventually slain by a gaulan. From the body of this angelic being rose a contorted beasts of sinew and shadow. Teeth and bone over every tendril and limb, each shadowfell a different shape. These dangerous creatures began slaying the other Aldur Aelves, thus ending the 2nd Era and bringing on a millennia of war and servitude by the lesser races of Galfin. The shadow beasts sought workers to dig deep into the ground, mining for essence, pure liquid magic.
Over time, the Aldur Aelves became a distant memory, a mythological race spoken of in hushed tones by the elemental elves. The influence of the Aldur Aelves can still be seen in the beauty and grace of the elemental elves.
The shadow beasts used the elemental elves in their armies and fought against the much more populous gaulan. Only after 1000 years of battled hardship were the gaul able to join together under The Six Heroes of Dhara and fight back, defeating the shadow creatures and leaving the mainland an open frontier, save a few ruins of old cities and temples. Most of history was lost in that 1000 years besides spoken myth of heroes passed that lived on through the people.
The Six Heroes of Dhara were legendary figures who led the charge against the shadow creatures and brought about the end of the 3rd Era. They were said to possess great powers and were able to wield magic to defeat their enemies. Their names and deeds were passed down through generations, becoming the stuff of legends and inspiring future generations of heroes. Even today, many aspiring adventurers seek to follow in their footsteps and become the next great hero of Galfin. The ruins of the old cities and temples that still dot the mainland serve as a reminder of the ancient past, and some believe that they still contain hidden treasures and secrets waiting to be discovered.
The Second Era ended with the slaying of the Aldur Aelves. The Third Era end with the defeat of the Shadow beasts
The end of the Third Era marked the beginning of a new era of peace and exploration for the inhabitants of Galfin, as they were able to rebuild their civilization and learn more about the magic that had caused so much destruction in the past. With the shadow beasts gone, the elemental elves and other races were able to reclaim their freedom and begin building a new society. For their acts against the gaulans, the elves were pushed back to their natural keeps and strongholds, far away from man. The Fourth Era was marked by the rise of powerful kingdoms and empires, as well as the development of new forms of magic and technology. However, as we have previously discussed, this era eventually led to the Fracturing War and the splintering of the Galfin mainland into warring factions.
