Jayr River

The region’s two primary settlements, Jayrifah and Zalbana, are built along the rivers that flow from the Gada Falls. Zalbana, the smaller of the two, is known for its tranquil beauty, nestled by the banks of the Jayr River. Its winding, ice-covered roads and low wooden buildings are perched on the river’s edge, creating a picturesque view as the water glistens beneath the snowy expanse. The locals are known for their ability to harness the power of the river, with water mills and tanneries being the main industries. The town has a reputation for its finely crafted furs and hides, which are traded widely throughout Valhedge.   Jayrifah, on the other hand, is a bustling port city situated at the mouth of the Jayr River. It is a commercial hub for the province, thriving on trade and the extraction of natural resources such as fish, wool, and timber. The city’s harbour is often busy, though the ice never truly melts in the colder months.
