Jayrifah Settlement in Galfin | World Anvil

Jayrifah

Large Provincial Capital City in Gadafoss   Jayrifah is a somber and mystical province capital nestled in the heart of the snowy, cold taiga of Gadafoss province in Valhedge. The population is made up almost entirely of Yergralffe who worship the Spirit Oasis, and they live in harmony with the spirits of the wild. The Margrave of this place is Geralt Stormcaller, a stern and wise leader who is respected by all. The settlement itself is quiet and solemn, with few outward signs of life beyond the sound of the wind whispering through the trees.   There is a secluded forest glade that serves as a spiritual sanctuary, where the villagers go to offer sacrifices and seek the advice of the spirits of the dead. It is said that the spirits speak through the rustling of the leaves and the flow of the nearby river. The village is also home to a mighty stronghold named Gravus Torn, which looms over the surrounding wilderness like a sentinel. Its high walls and sturdy gates protect the villagers from the dangers that lurk in the wilderness beyond.           Jayrifah has a grand temple at the center, and is known for its mines and industry. The ruler (Gomory Springfield, Male Human) is fair and just, respected by the populace.   Defenses: The capital is surrounded by stone walls. 307 trained warriors serve in the capital's defense, and a militia of 5021 can be mustered in case of attack.
