Church of the Glade
The Church of the Glade is a swamp-born faith devoted to Everglade, the goddess of fertility and decay, and Sobek, the towering god of the wilds. It is practiced by Daijin nomads, ogres, Oathblades, and those who dwell within the marshes, with outsiders often seeking Everglade’s blessing for childbirth or Sobek’s strength for survival.
The faith is centered around the balance of growth and destruction, worshipers offering food, drink, and tokens of life to appease Everglade’s dual nature, while tributes of blood and battle honour Sobek’s raw might. The Church's sacred sites, often hidden deep within the wetlands, serve as places of ritual, where prayers are whispered to the spirits lurking beneath the reeds.
