The Deathscriers reside and rule in this town. As with most small towns, the deathscriers are in charge and are the governing body, making desicions by the will of the ancestors. They use a small magical ink to ask questions to their ancestors. Each town in Calua has deathscriers who can speak to the dead as well as a chosen ancient who founded the town.
Strong volcanic veins run under the town of Agata, the eggkeeper of the dragonkin lives here and keeps eggs warms in her hut. She used to travel to the Firefang jags to hatch eggs but the path became too dangerous as dragonkin are sought after by very dangerous people. The dragons birthed of molten rock are children of Synapsid even if they don't know it. Daedra the eggkeeper has had three children birthed naturally but they were all taken away from her. This broke her and now she spends her time aggressively caretaking for the molten born eggs of her race, trying to keep it alive. Althoguh she does not have the embers of the Firefang, a replacement is found in the rare veins of molten gold that run under Calua.
Daedra is a Draken, humans, ogres or elves who lived in the presence of powerful dragons for long enough that their bloodline was twisted to resemble their dragon overseers. This usually takes generations to truly see the affect of a dragons influence on a people. Sometimes a draken could look completely normal, just like their base race until they reside in the presence of a dragon lord. This can cause an abrupt and scary change within an individual. These changes are most likely to take place at puberty, when the body is already susceptible to great change.
