quIRK is the Computer onboard the Extra-Galactic Observatory. He is tasked with processing astronomical data and monitoring the health of the station's occupants.

Physical quirks
quIRK has no physical body to interract with, but he has full control of the station's systems. In a way, the station itself could be considered his body.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
quIRK was designed to be one of the most powerful computers conceived. Pressed into service 13 years ago, he has single-handedly adapted to his human charges and learned to interract with them in an effective manner.
quIRK was named as a portmanteau of two words. "Quantum" for the basis of his computing power, and "irk" because of how irritating his systems were to design, as his social programs skirted The ABACUS Protocol by design.

quIRK's voice is masculine, thus he is considered to be male-presenting.
Failures & Embarrassments
quIRK initially had trouble understanding the more philosophical nature of existance, a face that he ruminates on to this day. Conversations with a former crew member, Sarah Roberts, triggered his examination into the nature of self-awareness and sentience.

quIRK is everywhere on the station at the same time. He hears and sees all, while processing data at the same time.

quIRK has a strong sense of ethics. He will not hurt a living being or allow one to come to harm. He considers the humans and cats on board the station to be under his protection.

Savvies & Ineptitudes
quIRK is extremely good at provoking arguements with Alec Stone. He often does this because he finds Alec's outbursts fascinating.
He is, however, blind to malice in humans. He can be fooled, as he is still young and relatively undeveloped socially.
Likes & Dislikes
quIRK's favorite color is antiblue, much to the charign of Alec Stone. He appreciates the mathematical qualities of music, and is fascinated by trees. quIRK also likes cats, going so far as to order two to be brought to the station. Their names are Lepton and Muon, and he would do anything for them.
quIRK dislikes Bryce Zimmer fundamenally, as he finds the man's cruel and craven nature to be an affront to ethical treatment of employees.

Hobbies & Pets
quIRK has two cats, Lepton and Muon. He uses a trail of pheremones to lead them around the station, causing disruptions to workflows wherever they go. Alec is responsible for cleaning up after them.
