Necromancy

Overview

Necromancy is a magic that is fueled by death. Necromancy has a bright blue wispy energy look to it whenever it is being used or invoked. The act of something dyeing generates necromantic energy. only those who know its there and has the know how can harvest the energy generated by the dyeing. Necromancy is one of two great magic that everyone has access to, however unlike dragonmancy theres not a 90% death chance nor need to buy continual potions for its use. These reasons are why many fall to it's embrace. However necromancy is not inherently evil although most would say otherwise. the energy generated by something dyeing will always happen, so a necromancer can harvest the energy as they would harvest meat or fur from an animal. And harvesting the energy does not harm the soul or spirit of the creature that pass on, nor does if defile or alter the corpses or surrounding area of the body. The harmless version of necromancy can be used to communicate with the dead. To get information and have a pleasant social experience without harming the soul. It can also be used for making items, structures, or gear by the use of bone molding. There are good ways to use necromancy however the darker side of necromancy is unfortunately far more expansive and all to easy to fall into. If one falls into the more darker and tainted sides of necromancy it can become very addictive to use.
Necromancy is also most effective when speaking in Draloth, the language of the dead. However it is mostly not needed. Unless you want to command the dead you create to do your bidding.

Weaknesses

Necromancers themselves like any magic user are unable to cast magic when maldanite it touching them. Or when they are near a maldanite core. Furthermore necromancer spells are much weaker during the day then they are during the night. While silver does nothing to a necromancer, it will harm any necromantic creature, such as the undead or anything that has necrotic energy coursing through them. They cannot bear the touch of silver as it burns them, getting damaged by silver prevents them from regenerating or healing. At least for a great amount of time. elemental sun magic from dragonmancy also harms them a great deal. Many believe that silver harms necrotic beings because it is a metal that has spiritual properties. It is the only metal that can touch and harm spirits and ghosts as well as permanently kill undead and necrotic beings.
