Bloomial War

A conflict between Vesper and Kinsetaria that would evolve into a Vesperian civil war, concluded with military assistance from Kinsetaria.
The war found its origins in the Communards, an insurgent terrorist group in the City of Light said to have emerged from the Electric Rebellion earlier in Gaia-18. The insurgents overwhelmed and murdered the Royal Houndsmen in mass (these were the precursors to the modern Whitehounds), eventually leading to military Hoplites marching the streets under martial law. This escalated when the Communards were found to be conspiring with Kinsetarian radicals, seeking to enact dual revolutions. The Vesperian Security Force, which had been granted severe independent power by the floundering government, planted informants among the Communards and eventually learned identities and movements of the Kinsetarian radicals, and traded this information to to Kinsetaria in exchange for naval assistance.
The war took its turn thanks in large part to the assistance of Rey Aramar, a Communard that was convinced to inform on the insurgent leaders. This resulted in a mass route in the streets of Vesper, and the Communards fleeing north to Coal Island. The Kinsetarian navy then surrounded and bombarded the island for two months, starving out insurgents.
Several dozen radicals surrendered, receiving life sentences but no executions. Hundreds of terrorists starved or were slain by the Kinsetarian bombardment. In the third month, the Vesperian Security Force stormed the island to mop up the survivors. History does not record the names of the terrorist leaders, nor is it clear on whether they starved, perished under bombardment, or were ultimately executed.
