Coal Island
A large island just north of Vesper, Coal Island is the industrial center of Gaia 19. It holds multiple factories owend by multiple corporations. It is technically not part of Vesper, meaning various labor laws do not apply within its shores. Coal Islanders have far fewer rights than Vesperian citizens.
A massive black cloud of smog perpetually floats over Coal Island. Harsh winds often blow smoke south into Vesper, resulting in health warnings to the citizens. Coal Islanders wear heavy-duty masks whenever outside of the factories where they work.
