Color Styles

Color Styles are techniques developed over centuries that are based on a persons Essence Color. Accordingly, the different color styles are grouped by the pure forms of these colors and the purer once Essence color the stronger. There are the 6 common styles: Violet, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange and Red from which anyone can learn at least something since they only require one color of Essence. Then there are the Rare Color Styles which are much harder to learn and have much greater requirements to be usable.

Violet

This style is the second rarest among the common styles due to its destructive nature. Violet style uses the uncontrollable destructiveness of violet essence and tries to at least direct it at someone else than the user itself, with more or less success. Techniques are generally similar to blue style techniques, although their effects are much greater. Typically this means that a violet style user can project raw essence from his body, often channeled into lightning or extreme heat, but with little to no control over it except a general direction in which the destructive power should go. The strength of lighting or fire generated by violet essence is capable of disintegrating solid rock on touch. This often leaves violet style users vulnerable to long-range attacks since their own attacks often don't make it to the target or miss completely. However, if a violet style user manages to get close enough there is little that can stop their attacks. It is also possible for users of this style to greatly enhance their physical capabilities, even far beyond what a similarly strong blue style user could do, but due to the nature of violet essence they can do so without the benefit of self-healing and even worse it often even destroys their bodies instead. The insane amount of power a violet style user gets by doing this, however, cannot be underestimated and it is often worth the risk for them to damage their body a bit in order to dominate a fight.

Notable examples of users of this style include Vamp, a user who famously used a blade crafted in the ancient twin sun empire that could channel his essence into an incredibly destructive lighting without breaking and even gave him good enough control to modulate the lightings strength and the ability to precisely fire his lighting in waves or as a channeled stream over great distances. However it could only stop the physical damage to his body that comes from using violet style excessively, not the damage to his mind and in his later years, he would often scream "unlimited power" while disintegrating people with his lighting.

Blue

This is one of the most common styles and is often associated with brutes, berserkers and other fierce warriors. Understandably so since in ancients times, blue style users were front row soldiers, often going into an undying rage, mowing down waves and waves of enemies on their own before dying of a thousand wounds eventually. The blue essence used in this style is great for such a task since its highly energetic yet hard to control nature makes it hard to be used for manipulating is outside of one's body, but inside one's body it can be used to great effects in order to enhance speed, strength, agility, and self-healing. Of these 4 factors, strength and self-healing are usually most notable since blue style users often don't care about speed and agility much when they can have overwhelming strength and enough self-healing capabilities to survive anything that is thrown at them. This is often combined with essence projection in the form of simple, raw essence for pure force attacks or lighting and fire. Other elemental manipulation like isn't unheard of, but energetic elements are most often seen since they better use blue essences natural oversaturation of energy. These energy projections are usually hard to aim, but very destructive and the blue lighting and blue flames created from blue essence are quite a bit more dangerous than their normal counterparts. Variations to the classical combat style exist, but most blue style users are hard to kill brutes that like to smash things.

Notable examples of blue style users include Jack Reven who used this style almost exclusively to boost his strength, speed, and agility and achieved much stronger combat power compared to other blue styles users at the cost of no healing factor and no energy projection. However, the managed to compensate for this with his natural healing factor and the use of a high-end catalyst pistol that was used to focus his essence into precise energy beams. Drake Lin was also an incredible blue style user and is often considered to be the most proficient user of fire in combination with blue style. When fighting he would greatly boost his strength, but he would also let huge chunks of his essence radiate from him in the form of heat. At the peak of his power, this heat would vaporize rock near him and melt everything in the vicinity.

Green

Being very centered in the color spectrum, green style is quite common and quite versatile. Most notably about green essence used in this style is that it has quite a wide range in the spectrum and can be modulated within that spectrum to achieve quite a much for single color. This adaptability to different situations, however, is also its greatest downside since it is quite resource intensive to modulate one's essence and most green style users either generalize, becoming average at all the different uses of green style or specialize in one extreme. On one end of green styles spectrum is the more aggressive part of the style, mimicking blue style, but with either less destructive power but stronger self-healing capabilities. On the other end of the style is the part that is considered much more fascinating and useful by most, the harmonic part. Harmonic in the context of essence means that this part of green essence naturally goes together well with other colors, no matter how aggressive. This makes the harmonic green style one of the few color styles capable of healing others since the harmonic essence can enter another persons Aura and even their Soul without doing any harm and being harmed itself and can then be absorbed by the other person to boost their natural healing capabilities. In the middle of all of this is the semi-harmonic green style that still allows for some healing and for some self-buffing, but is most notable for its ability to influence lesser lifeforms. The semi-harmonic green essence can appear fully harmonic and get past the defenses of lesser lifeforms to then get some manner of control over them and boost them. The boosting also works with higher lifeforms if they allow the semi-harmonic essence into their body, but has no chance of controlling them. The control over lesser lifeforms, however, combined with the boost often results in plant manipulation. This plant manipulation allows the user to quickly grow plants to their liking and make them act as shields, arms and whatever else the user wants.

Notable examples of users of this style include Nicholas Firo who used a combination of semi-harmonic and aggressive green style. He would boost himself and then also wear an exoskeleton made of muscle like plant material that would further boost his strength while also absorbing damage for him.

Yellow

Another style that is very centered in the color spectrum, yellow style is also quite common, but not as versatile as green style. What makes yellow style most interesting to most is the odd combination of control and energy that yellow essence provides. It allows the user great energy control but on a more internally focused level compared to red style which has a lot more focus on outside control. Yellow styles form of control allows its users to modulate their own strength, speed, and agility quite well and this is mostly used for the latter two. Yellow style users will often use bursts of speed combined with great agility to outmaneuver their enemies or get to places no one else can reach. They are also able to manipulate energy inside their body and on very close to them well, which they usually use to camouflage themselves by manipulating light and other forms of energy to go around them, creating the impression that they aren't here. This energy control allows master of yellow style to even bend space and allows them to blink over short distances in an instant at great cost, or temporarily transform their bodies into energy to travel at speeds impossible for solid matter. The latter only lets them travel a predestined path however and only for a predestined amount of time, as they have to choose all these factors before turning into energy, as they will be unable to do anything while transformed. Other uses of these abilities also allow them to teleport or travel through electrical currents. This control of energy also allows yellow style users to manipulate common lighting quite well some users "coat" themselves in lighting, recharging it with the static electricity generated by their fast movements.

Notable examples of yellow styles users include Blitz who is often considered the one true master of yellow style. He carried with him hundreds of small metal disks with holes inside which he would throw at opponents and scatter around to which he could teleport at any time due to runes and some of his essence on them. However, even without them, he was still insanely fast, capable of phasing in and out of a transformation into light in the blink of an eye, always changing his path until he was in position for that one perfect strike to end his opponent. He was also a master of lighting techniques and was known to chain lighting attacks through his disks. He was one of the greatest assassins and duelists to ever live, and although he is most famous for his achievements in single combat he once also eradicated an army solely by scattering his disks into the enemies ranks and then unleashing one giant lighting attack, chained through the entirety of the army.

Orange

The rarest of the common styles due to its inherent danger, even surpassing the dangers of violet style if used improperly. Although a great part of the population has orange essence, it is almost impossible to use true orange style until this orange essence is properly purified and the user's body is already well trained in controlling it. Orange style allows its user to absorb energy and depending on the users' skill level this might only be one form of energy at a time or any form of energy all at once. The absorbed energy is temporarily stored inside the user's body until used again or in a master of orange style, it can also be converted to essence to be used freely by the orange style user. However, the problem is the storage of absorbed energy, as this can quickly destroy an unprepared body that doesn't know how to deal with this properly. A saying among orange style practitioners is: "of course you can absorb any attack, but some only once", hinting at the many early deaths of orange style users by absorbing more energy than they can handle. However if someone manages to properly use orange style it is one of the most feared styles, since a well-trained user can take away a projectiles energy, absorb energy shields and barriers and more. The main downside to orange style compared to black style is that orange style users are unable to absorb energy directly from another living being since their powers are already greatly impaired by another persons Aura. This means they cannot stop a blue style user from buffing himself, for example, however, if they can absorb enough energy beforehand they can buff themselves up to match, but never as efficiently as a true blue style user.

Notable examples of this style include Dranell Gon who at the peak of his power could absorb the energy in molecular bonds, effectively turning objects into dust instantly.

Red

Another common style, red style is often considered the weakest, however it is only weak in terms of raw power since red essence is the least energetic, but the easiest and best to control. Red style users in the ancient days were what you would often consider classical mages, manipulating the elements, throwing fireballs and so on. However, this is considered childs play for true red style users since red style has much more depth to it. Elemental manipulation using red essence can go so much further and most notably red style users often create very very sharp blades out of condensed red essence or needles and precisely attack an opponent's weak point. Their great essence control allows them to stretch their Aura far and wide, manipulating its shape into unthinkable forms from which they can launch their attacks. Red style users are also great at creating constructs like barriers or more practical objects out of Hardlight. However, for most masters of red style things usually boil down to a few options: blood mastery which allows the red style user to use their blood as a deadly weapon, acting as a catalyst for their magic just as powerful as their own body, but with the added benefit of being very mobile. These masters replace the boring hardlight constructs with blood and the blood blades they create can easily tear through solid steel. They are also quite hard to kill since their in-depth knowledge allows them to stitch themselves back together and temporarily store their Soul inside their blood while repairing a broken body. Another type of red style master are the blade masters that enhance their body, but do so not in a constant surge of power of quick bursts like blue or yellow style users, but with a flow that goes up and down. When they fight if often seems like a dance, dodging anything that is thrown at them while barely moving and slipping past any defenses. Their attacks are swift and deadly and almost impossible to avoid. They often use Hardlight weaponry and you can run as far as you want, once they set their eyes on you they will find you or at least their blades will. The last master is the spell master. These types of red style masters know a variety of spells and control their environment with incredible precision. They can turn the world around you into literal hell in an instant and seconds later you stand in a frozen tundra and yet another second later you are entombed in a mountain. While often having a great assortment of various different spells many spell masters also specialize in one type of magic. Red style has the steepest learning curve some say and many of the best red style users combine techniques from all the masteries inside red style.

Notable examples of red style users include Delan Le Berre who is a spell and blood master using those two fields of study to create copies of himself that can copy themselves but still maintain most of the original's power, drawing any excess energy needed from their surroundings. This on its own might not seem like much, but he is also great at using spacial magic to form the space around him and rip apart anything in his way. Another great master of red style is Jirou "the Rain" Regon. His mastery of water magic allowed him to manipulate any form of water with absolute precision. His most common attack and what gave him his name has him create rain and then use individual raindrops as bullet-like projectiles with the ability to precisely control hundreds of raindrops at once. This, however, is still not the end of his power as his main strength is blood magic and his mastery of water magic was just an extension of his immense skill in blood magic.
