Creeping Moss
Creeping moss collects under scales or between carapace layers, pushing the scale or carapace apart from the flesh and leaving a patch of bare, fuzzy reddish moss anchored into the skin.
Causes
Spelunking in deep, lightless, and damp caves within volcanic mountain ranges.
Symptoms
Itching, loosened scales, loss of scales, and shedding red tendrils.
Treatment
Basking in the dry summer sun for a couple of weeks usually clears up the creeping moss, but swimming or bathing can revive it if treatment is ended too soon. Remove disease spells can cure it as well, but the individual is susceptible to reinfection if exposed again at a 75% change.
Hosts & Carriers
Some known hosts include eyeless lizards, albino lobsters, a wild tribe of deep kobolds, and red fuzz beetles.
