The land you reside in is an ancient one, infused with magic, mystery, and secrets... How it was discovered and came to its current form is hotly debated in academic circles, but it is generally accepted that the first proto-Ork tribes came through the Portal of Aberath during the 4th millennium PME
Dwarf historians, however, insist they were the first people to settle Freiya, vigerously contesting similar claims from the Dragon Born, Elves and Human races, but due to the lack of written records the debate continues.
As it is, Freiya is a mixing pot of nearly every known race, most with enclaves and states covering every one of its continents; From the harsh, wintery north to the parched and sun-baked south.
Some states have embraced multiculturalism as ways to swell their commerce and armies. Others, however, have shied away from this approach due to deep, historical mistrust and numerous confrontations. More so the tribal races like the Orks and Dragon Born, who by now find themselves in reservations or serving in other states armies because they have come out on the losing side of some of those confrontations.
