The Zone

The Zone is the northernmost part of Strugatovka. Its access is highly regulated and forbidden to most.

"The Hall of Justice & Citizenship authorities highly recommend not to leave the safe zones. Security cordons and patrols are enforcing this rule. As per the written agreement of entry in Strugatovkan territory (Certificate SHA-201-B) and applicable law to Strugatovkan citizens (Art. 9-2 of the Strugatovkan Constitution), trespassors will be held accountable of all and any consequences of leaving safe territory."

Most of Strugatovkan inlands are inhabited, as most of its population is in The Capitol and near the coasts in agricultural settlements. But one place has been off limits for ages, and that is the Zone. During The Founding, some ships and their crews tried to settle in this part, never to be seen again. Their tale is now lost to the Zone.
The few accessible documention about the Zone is in the now famous "Strugatov Diaries", a compilation of the journal entries of the founders reporting their discoveries on the islands and its mysteries. Since then, many discoveries are rumored to have been made by the Tekh-Mudretsy, but are censored to avoid too many leaks and public health and order issues.
