Strugatov Sisters

If you're here, it's because you're one of the people that are in the know. Wether you are a guide, a lab-dweller, or just a very lucky commoner with a thirst for truth and knowledge, you've found part of the truth.
Olga and Veronika, were once called the pioneer sisters. They actually weren't that strong nor heroic. But they cared for their people and were explorers. Pioneers like no one ever saw. What set them apart from the other settlers was their cunning and their impeccable teamwork.
They never got anything handed to them. They learned on their own and fast. They watched out for the weak and the old. That's why Strugatovitchova survived more than the other attemps at making settlements. Many fell to the traps of the treachurous Zone. Many were reckless and did not listen. It's not that The Capitol was the only real attempt at buidling a city, it's that all the others never survived.
They were the first to actually research the Artefacts carefully, avoid them, study them, and then and only then try to approach them and turn it into a source of power.

Censored Legacy

Their groundbreaking reseach and exploration to the darkerst corners of the uncharted island led them to understand the island's secrets, and use it for the community. After years of studying and exploring, they knew better than anyone to this day about the island's mysteries. They devoted themselves to understanding the island's unique phenomenons and how to use them for the greater good. There are plans of constructs and engineering written by their hands that were obviously built back in the day. It has since disappeared from the public eye. Most of their knowledge is gone, and we don't know why. Most of the organisations higher-ups (those in-the-know) are accusing each other instead of trying to actually solve the mystery, unfortunately.
We do believe that someone also purposefully censored that they were sisters, for some reason. A lot of speculation here, so we won't clutter this document.

Dubious circumstances of Death

The sisters disappeared during a strange event that shook the whole island. Some outside camps and attempts to settlements were wiped out of the map. Well, not the settlements per se. Just the people. Vanished. Only Strugatovitchova - The Capitol, was spared. We have reasons to believe that someone used that occasion to get rid of the sisters. The exact circumstances of the disaster are purposely blurry in the official stories, and we're still looking for solid intel regarding this. Did they really sacrifice themselves ? Was it really a "natural" disaster ?
From the few snippets we managed to find from the Sisters diaries, there was a lot of conflict between the sisters and the captain of their original settling ship. He was an old bugger that held a grudge against Olga and Veronika. He was a rich, powerful man that did not exactly share the sister's view on sharing their research freely. But having a long arm, he already had managed to be designed head of the selltement, and managed to get the power over such decisions. We have no exact sources regarding this man, but he is our suspect number one. He is probably dead now.

If you found this, you are know one of the few "In-The-Knows" of Strugatovka. Congrats. Be careful who you share this information with. Many factions will make you disappear if you are too public with this. We don't excaclty know why, it just happens.
