A symbol of Pendleton is the use of the Northrook Tree, the first tree to be illuminated and call for his help. He often uses this symbol to let them know that he has answered their call for help.

Penning's Day
On the last day of Early Algid, that is the time when Pendleton goes around parts of Florenelle and brings generosity to various settlements. Some of these services are gifts, repairs, or even simple improvements to a way of life. Of course, he only gives these out to people who have been kind to one another.

General Physical Condition
He is said to be a slender figure that hauls a bag over his shoulder. On Penning’s Day, he can be seen hopping across chimneys delivering gifts below that safely land in the person’s home. Whether he wears a puffy coat or light sweater is debated, mainly among children who believe they’ve seen him on his holiday.

Pendleton is noted for his stovepipe hat, dark red cloak with mantle, white trousers, and black boots.

Personal history
It’s believed Mr. Pendleton’s origins begin in the small village of Northrook. It was a place that struggled frequently to get by. The snowy Algid months always took the heaviest toll on the people. So little food and tools being worn down.
To help alleviate the aches and woes, Pendleton would go out of the village and in his own secret workshop to craft all sorts of gear. Where the resources were from are unknown but what he made were enough to make life livable in the winter. Each year, Pendleton mentioned that finding his way back was difficult at times, asking for help to guide him.
In response, the villagers decorated a tree with lanterns to help illuminate where Northrook was. Hearing these rumors, other villages propped up their own illuminated trees, sometimes even decorating it, in hopes Pendleton would give help. To their surprise, he didn’t only gift Northrook aid, but also the others that did. All of this call for aid inspired Pendleton to go out and dedicate his life in helping to make life easier for all.

- Known to cause temporary truces to erupt in the Colonial War among soldiers on Penning’s Day.

He loves to spread joy and cheer during times of strife, mainly during the last of Early Algid. For all through the rest of the year, he works away in his workshop to build whatever is needed to help lift the burdens of others.
