According to Kordgelle, the best place to find a gatherer is in the Entropic Void. Anywhere else should be of great alarm, as it implies that they have escaped.

Gatherers are known to make impressive dealings when a harvester comes to their aid. The Kithalsis Court never knows when a leak from the Entropic Void occurs immediately. Usually, they're found when their influence has grown roots, some weak when rare instances have been sturdy. Gatherers try their best to be discreet of their activities so they must pick their harvesters wisely.
