Vishmael Iskandelor
Vishmael the Great was known for uniting all of the Human city-states of Baarish into a single kingdom, known as the Kohaarteba Empire. This uniting of the territories was known as The Conquering of the Midlands. As a half-elf, his mother was one of the daughters of the Emperor the Hoshi Elves and high ranking noble of the Yoseikyo Empire. Vishmael's father was the King of Girona, the now capital of Nasma. He took the throne after being gifted the sword of Galerecen. Legend says that the sword was made from a great typhoon and only a hero that could shift the winds of change would be able to pull the sword from the chest of Nimuë. He considered this a divine sign that he was meant to do great things. The city-states that made up Baarish were constantly fighting each other and struggling against invaders and raiders from other lands. They were broken and in disarray after The Burning Time.
In his conquering, he also spread his own religious beliefs in service to Saat, a single seven-faced god who he believed was the prime deity, and that all other "gods" were angels of his court. Later, followers of this faith came to see Nimuë as an angel of heroes, called the Mythweaver by some. Vishmael's conquering of the midlands was a bloody fight but lead to an era of peace and unity among the human nations. He separated it into provinces and married a human daughter of the royal line from one of the city-states. They had many children and most kings and queens of "The United" kingdoms can trace their lineage back to Vishmael's line.
