Carmen Cindereyes
Carmen “Cindereyes” Cuevas Delacosta de Vela was born to Faustino Stormwatcher and Aldonza Halfbreeze in the small coastal town of Aldarin. Though Carmen loved her parents and her hometown, she had always longed for adventure. When she caught the eye of a handsome and rakish black Tabaxi by the name of Arsenio Sootrunner in the tavern by the wharfs, she thought that adventure had finally found her. Arsenio blew into her life like a summer storm, and left just as quickly.
Carmen’s despondence at Arsenio’s frequent disappearances was only matched by her joy whenever he would come back. Together, the two ended up having three children: Emiliana, Marcelina, and Guiomar. A few years after their youngest child was born, Arsenio disappeared and never returned. Guiomar ended up taking after his father the most, both in looks and temperament, and so he ended up leaving home as well. Carmen still wishes for adventure, but in the mean time, she continues her work as a laundress and waits for the day one of her boys will come back with the breeze.
